At Anne Ross Day Nursery, we believe children learn through play. We offer both child and ECE-led activities, focusing on promoting children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development in an inclusive and safe program. We embrace and nurture the individuality and specific developmental needs of all infants and children, reflected through individual care, group time, dramatic play, art activities, and organized physical play focusing on the interests of all infants and children.
We value play as the foundation of children's learning and set up the environment as an extension of children's interests to promote learning through play. We embrace diversity and culture, respecting similarities and differences among people of different cultures, appearances, and abilities. We teach these values through positive role modeling and respect for all people. We celebrate Aboriginal culture through singing and drumming and welcome the celebration of other cultures through traditional activities and decorative items within the daycare.
Positive relationships are our priority. All staff are involved in children's daily activities to promote positive relationships with each child, acknowledging their value and belonging in our program. We recognize the importance of families; parents, caregivers, and guardians are our partners in providing quality care to the children.
