Avicenna Academy

Avicenna Academy, part of the Fajer Winnipeg Educational Institute, is a registered charitable organization offering a unique Islamic-faith based preschool program. We teach children the importance of prayer, Islamic teachings in Arabic, and celebrate Eid al-Fir and Eid ul-Adha. Our program combines Islamic and Canadian cultures through play-based learning and an emergent curriculum. We are open year-round from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, offering only full-time preschool for mixed age groups (2.5 to 6 years old). We have 7 groups with a maximum of 8 children per teacher, meeting Manitoba's ECE II license requirements.
