At Country Kids Learning Centre, we believe each child is at the core of our curriculum. We utilize a play-based approach, recognizing that children learn uniquely through play, creating personal lesson plans that align with their individual developmental patterns. Our curriculum supports learning and development through this play-based methodology.
We prioritize outdoor learning, spending as much time outside as safely possible, including snacks, lunch, and nap times. We embrace Manitoba's diverse weather conditions, adapting our environment to ensure children experience the beauty of nature. Nature provides freedom for children to think, explore, question, and discover answers.
Our team consists of 16 highly qualified staff with diverse skills and cultural backgrounds: 2 ECE IIIs, 7 ECE IIs, and 7 full-time and part-time CCAs. Staff work closely with children, supporting them in developing social skills, routines (cleaning, transitioning, eating, napping, and resting). We aim for each child to have a strong connection with at least one adult. Many of our staff are trained in the Circle of Security Parenting Program, grounded in attachment theory research. We understand that a child's connection to an adult fosters confidence, safety, love, and guidance.
