Downtown YM-YWCA Before and After School Program

The Downtown YM-YWCA Before and After School Program provides childcare for children in Grade 1 up to 12 years old. We primarily serve children attending Sister McNamara School, but offer bus pick-up/drop-off from other schools (arrangements to be made by parents). We're open before and after school hours and on Winnipeg School Division 1 in-service days. The program is closed during Spring Break, Summer, and Christmas school breaks. The YMCA-YWCA of Winnipeg prioritizes a strong partnership between families and educators, focusing on creating a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for children's learning and growth. Our school-age program uses the YMCA's 'A Place to Connect' curriculum, emphasizing play-based learning and providing children with choices, leadership opportunities, and a focus on their strengths.
