Downtown YM-YWCA Creative Play

Downtown YM-YWCA Creative Play is a preschool childcare centre offering care for children aged 2-5 years. We also provide care for nursery and kindergarten children attending Sister McNamara School and offer bus pick-up/drop-off from several other schools. We operate year-round, closing only for statutory holidays. Our program emphasizes a healthy partnership between families and educators, focusing on a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for children to learn and grow. We utilize the YMCA Playing to Learn curriculum, a play-based approach that prioritizes choice, leadership opportunities, and a focus on children's strengths. Lunch is provided from home; milk is provided by the centre. We use our large indoor gym daily for gross motor skill development. Some staff members speak multiple languages.
