About the Daycare
Michif Children's Place Day Care provides infant and preschool care following an emergent curriculum with a pedagogical approach. The children's learning is driven by their interests, with activities incorporating nature, diverse materials, field trips, and guest speakers. Daily observations document children's progress, and Métis culture is highlighted throughout. The daycare offers a meal program (AM & PM snacks and lunch) at no extra charge.
Our enrolment policies prioritize siblings of current students, kindergarten children needing school-age care, Michif/Métis Child and Family Services families, and Northwest Métis Council Inc. staff. If a waitlist offer is declined, parents can choose to remain on or remove their child's name from the list.
