Univillage Preschool and Infant Centre Inc.

Univillage Preschool and Infant Centre Inc. has been providing quality programs and services since 1976. We serve a diverse clientele, including new immigrants, Indigenous people, and families from various socioeconomic backgrounds. Our staff meets ELCC requirements, with two-thirds qualified as ECE II/III. Educators are college or university educated (Canadian or international). We offer an inclusive program supporting infants' and preschoolers' developmental needs (physical, emotional, social, communication, cognitive, ethical, and creative) using an emergent-based curriculum. Educators observe children's play, identifying interests, needs, and abilities to plan activities and materials enhancing learning. Our 'Get Set' school readiness program for 4-5-year-olds focuses on kindergarten preparation (writing numbers and letters, counting, sorting, basic addition/subtraction). We provide two healthy snacks daily, milk at lunchtime, and occasional free lunches (Canada Food Guide and ELCC compliant). We value families' knowledge and expertise, working together to support children's development and ensure consistency between home and daycare.
